2016 OMEA Northeast Region Orchestra September 20, 2016 – Audition portal closes* Saturday, November 5, 2016 - Rehearsal 1:00 - 6:00pm Saturday, November 19^th - Rehearsal 8:30 am - 4:00 pm Lunch is from 12:00-12:45 PM Sunday, November 20^th - Rehearsal 11:30 to 1:00 pm Sunday, November 20^th - Concert at 2:00 pm To be held on the Campus of Cleveland State University

If you are interested in getting experience playing in a full symphony orchestra setting, performing top notch musical literature, and working with some of the finest conductors and high school musicians in the state, then the Northeast Region Orchestra festival is interested in YOU! Application and Audition materials will be coming soon!

ELIGIBILITY: The applicant must be a student in grades 9-12 and a member of their high school band or orchestra. Students must be able and committed to attend ALL of the above listed rehearsals and performance in their entirety in order to be considered. You signature on the application affirms that you understand this commitment and obligation. String players for the OMEA All-State Orchestra are chosen according to the Regional Orchestra Auditions. Participation is selected equally from all OMEA regions. Wind and percussionists for the All-State ensembles have already been chosen through a taped audition procedure over the summer.

AUDITIONS: *There will be online via Acceptd again this year. Please review the NEW OMEA Region Handbook for the new timeline and procedures from OMEA.

· Benjamin Britten: Simple Symphony

o Sentimental Saraband

o Playful Pizzicato

· Bizet: L’Arliesienne Suite No. 1

· Dvorak: Symphony No. 8 in G Major - First movement only
